B. Early Bird Competition
There will be 1 Early Bird standing covering squad 1-8
Top 3 (NOT qualified in any other way) will qualify for the final on Sunday morning.

C. Danish athletes competition
There will be a separate standing for Danish Athletes
Danish Athletes can bowl in all squads, and scores from all squads will count for the stand- ing of the Danish Athletes competition.
Top 2 (NOT qualified in any other way) will qualify for the final Sunday morning.

D. Female Athletes Competition
There will be a separate standing for Female athletes.
Female Athletes can bowl in all squads, and scores from all squads will count for the stand- ing of the Female Athletes competition.
Top 2 (NOT qualified in any other way) will qualify for the final Sunday morning.

E. Senior Athletes (50+) Competition
There will be a separate standing for Senior Athletes
Senior Athletes can bowl in all squads, and scores from all squads will count for the standing of the Senior 50+ Competition.
A Senior Bowler must be 50 years of age or older at the first day of the tournament, i.e. a Senior Bowler must be born on August 8th 1976 or earlier.
Top 2 (NOT qualified in any other way) from the Senior 50+ Athletes competition will qualify
for the final Sunday morning.

If less than 700 entries in the tournament, then 48 athletes will qualify for the final steps
A: 36 athletes from the general qualification
B: 3 athletes from the early bird competition
C: 2 athletes from the Danish competition
D: 2 athletes from the female competition
E: 2 athletes from the senior competition
F: 3 athletes from the desperado squad

If 700 or more entries in the tournament, then 56 athletes will qualify for the final steps
A: 44 athletes from the general qualification
B: 3 athletes from the early bird competition
C: 2 athletes from the Danish competition
D: 2 athletes from the female competition
E: 2 athletes from the senior competition
F: 3 athletes from the desperado squad

Order of qualification
An athlete will qualify only once and always in the listed order starting from A.
If an athlete is qualified from more than one category, the next positioned athlete from the category, not valid for the already qualified athlete, will qualify instead.

Seeding for the final step 1-2
8 athletes positioned 1-8 in the general standing will qualify for the final step 2.
40 or 48 athletes, which is all other qualified athletes, will play in the final step 1.

Final step 1
40 / 48 athletes will play 5 games starting from scratch.
Athletes positioned 1-20 is qualified for the final step 2.
Athletes positioned 21-40 / 21-48 will be ranked 29-48 / 29-56 according to their position in the final step 1

Final step 2
28 athletes will play 5 games starting from scratch Athletes positioned 1-8 is qualified for the final step 3.
Athletes positioned 9-28 will be ranked 9-28 according to their position in the final step 2.

Final step 3
8 athletes will play a Round Robin with the pin fall from the step 2 carried forward.

There will be 7 rounds in the Round Robin, each consisting of one game matches, where the 8 athletes will be matched against all other 7 players.

After the conclusion of each match, bonus points will be added to the score total as follows: 30 points for a won match and 15 points for a tied match.

The standing after the final step 3 is an accumulated total of the score of the 5 games in step 2, the score of the 7 games in step 3 and all won bonus points in the Round Robin matches.

Top 3 of this standing will qualify for the final step 4. Athletes not continuing will be ranked 4-8 according to their positions in the final step 3.

Final step 4
There will be 2 stepladder matches, both starting from scratch

Stepladder match 1
The athlete positioned 3 and the athlete positioned 2 will play a one game match
The loser of the match will be ranked 3 in the final tournament standing

Stepladder match 2
The winner of the previous step and the athlete positioned 1 will play a one game match.
The loser of the match will be ranked 2 in the final tournament standing
The winner of the match will be ranked 1 in the final tournament standing

Tournament Tie Rules

Qualification, 50+ competition, Female competition, Danish competition, Early-bird competition
The highest positioned athlete will be the athlete scoring the highest last game. If a tie still
exists, the highest positioned athlete will be the athlete with the highest second last game etc.

Desperado
A tie influencing who will qualify for the first final step, a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken.

Final Step 1-3
Ties influencing who will qualify for the next final step, and ties for any of the first 3 positions in step 3, a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken. In all other tie situations in step 1-3, a procedure similar to the procedure for the qualification will be followed. When games are compared in the final step 3, bonus points won in the matches are not taken into consideration.

Final Step 4
In case of a tie in a match in the final step 4, a one ball roll off on a full set of pins will be played, repeated until the tie is broken.
